alright...I'm new to all of this (just started this weekend)...so I apologize for the stupidity that folllows:

First, I'm using PetesD3D (particulars in there shouldn't matter) with Null2 sound, the win2k cd driver, and 1001 bios...for epsxe1.2

now, I'm at the end of disc 1 and...
how the hell do I change discs? I've saved the state, and I've saved at least six slots in the "memory card". When the screen gets to "insert disc two", I'd like to do the 'switch disc' command, but I no longer have the ability to access any of those options (all I have at that point is my game screen, and the dos-window...but no command line abilities).

So I quit and load up disc 2, but now it claims the memory card has nothing saved to it.

Please...ANY help would be greatly appreciated....

remember to quit from the file menu..........not pressing esc... I have heard people have the same problem with memcards being erased or corrupted if you don't quit from the file menu....Show us your configs for epsxe, there may be something there we can use to help more.........

savestate files are linked only to the disc you're saving to. it means once u change the disc the savestates are no longer accessible and u have to create new savestates.

when u use savestates, your saved games (memcard files) are saved to directory \memcards\ with filenames temp.000 and temp.001 . u have to rename or copy these files to epsxe specific memcard files (epsxe????.mcr ) and attach them to your epsxe settings.

i suggest u to copy your temp.00? files to epsxe????.mcr, attach those mcr files to your epsxe settings, then change to disc 2, load your saved games, and create savestates. that way should work, pal..:)

file menu?

uhhh...how do I quit from the file menu...all of those menus go away when I start the game...like I said, the only things I have are my game window (no menu anything options, just a window with the game in it), and a dos-window with no command line abilities. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Also, what configs are you asking for? I mean, do my sound/graphics settings affect this?

Thanks to everyone...I'm going to try some of this stuff when I get home...
