I just got my new rig today.

Athlon 64 3800+
Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI
Geforce 6600GT x2 (SLI obviously)

This will be my first experience with SLI. I'm really looking forward to giving it a go. Atm I am doing the whole windows reinstall thing going. Was an interesting installation. It's nice to see AMD has improved its HSF installation. But I also had to modify the bridge chip between the PCIE cards and then link them in the end. Was actually kind of nerve wracking all things considering.

Gonna be moving the Athlon XP 2500+ to my second system along with the 6800GT, I'll post back soon when I have somethen to report.

*Blows kisses and smooches from Crystal Ray** See.. I can make this new name work! :rotflmao:

Congraz Crys... errr... Chris. :) Waiting for 3dmark 2k5 results. Also say how well it ran, especially that airship video. It was extremely sluggish in my friends P4 2.4 with Radeon9800Pro in Windows 2000...

hehehe, Ultra's are not aviable? they'll come out in march!!

Uhh no, we physically had 2 Asus N6800Ultra 256M cards PCI-E which are SLI ready (do not ask, we got good connections though) each selling $789 CDN a pop. Mind you, only insane people will drive all the way here to get it.

Lmao. I wish people would thinking about the implications of a 6800 Ultra SLI setup.

With a A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard your graphics setup would require 5 Molex leads. Not to mention airflow (unless you got two ASUS cards, all their nVidia setups are single slot.)

Still, it would kick serious ass.

/me expresses jealousy of kick ass system.

same here, my friend use Athlon 64 3000+ RAM 512Mb and Radeon 9800pro only got ~2400 score in 3d mark 2005, surprisingly on some test the fps is around 1-3 fps oO and for chris ray, i hope you can make a new record in 3d mark 2005, who knows, with SLI maybe you'll be able to get 5000 plus in 3d mark 2005

Well I'm sure I'll get over that, 6800 Ultra SLI setups get over 8k.

Here's my 3dmark2003 score. It made me wet myself :)
