Super Mairo 64

This will make the third forum I've tried for help with this. Now that I've got an actual controller there's been some games on emulators I've gone back to playing, one of them being Mario 64. It's just that it's been so long since I've played it I can't remember something I'm portant. Like how many stars it takes to get into each level. I'm talking about like for Jolly Roger Bay there's a star on the door with a 3 in the middle of it, or say for Big Boo's Haunt you need 8 stars? Well I've been through about a half dozen walkthroughs and nobody's thought to put up such a list. If anybody knows of a list somewhere or knows how many stars each level needs could you please point me in the right direction?

Your right dude I looked all over and could not find a damn thing. I don't really know if this helps you or not but I think you only need like 60 stars to complete it and there are 120 stars in total. I have not played this game in a while although I'm almost positive you have access to everything once you get 60 stars except the roof. For that you need all 120. Other than that your absolutely right. Does anyone know?
First of all I'm a dudette. And you're not understanding either. OK, think like you're actually playing the game. You want to go to Jolly Roger Bay. It takes 3 stars but you've only got two so you can't get in. Get what I'm after now? Each level needs us to have so many stars to get through the door. I'd like to know how many stars each level requires. And I still need to know where to find all the cap switch levels too please.
You do know there's more than 1 star to find in each level right?
Srry bout the mix up and Noja87's answer is probably the closest you are going to get.

DUH! I didn't say this is the first time I''ve ever played it, I said I haven't played it in a very long time! That's why I'm having a hard time remembering! And that walkthrough That Alex wrote was the very first one I looked in and guess what I didn't find in there either?
I still think she's only getting 1 star per level, which is why she's short. There's 8 stars to find in every level.

Also, she is very rude.
I think she just isnt reading. Everything you need to know is on that faq and many other faqs.

A tip

Open Faq > Ctrl+F > Jolly Roger Bay > Profit
It's a very easy game, just play it.

you don't have much experience with women, do you?.
I thought the number was the number of stars required? so if it had a 4 you needed 4 stars to enter that area?
She's asking for a Guide on the Star Requirements to allow entrance for each room in the game. Not how many stars you can get in each room.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen such a guide. You could always create it. ;)

the number written on each door is the number of stars needed to get into that room. There you go, the guide is finished
