In the next version, can you put a option in your plug-in that turns on FSAA? I can turn it on externally in Properties but have to swithc it back for other games. Can you make a check box or something in your plug-ins to configure that internally?

Thanks,
Continue the great work!

I think there was something like that in the old version, but it didn't really work??
Older versions had an option for Line AA (not FSAA)... Line AA doesn't work on consumer cards, only the nVidia Quadro cards are able to do it... so I removed that option (less complains that way).

Mmm... reminds me... someone wants to complain about my texture filtering? no? what a shame... ;)

About a FSAA option: there is an extension in OGL for it, but no nVidia driver I know is supporting that extension... and I've never seen a command in DX6/7 for FSAA

How does other games that have FSAA impliment them? Like Sacrifice, it's a great game, and looks so sweet with FSAA, can you do that with ePSXe?
Well, like sxamiga stated, you can use FSAA with my plugins, no problem. You just can't
enable/disable it inside the gpu config, you have to use either the gfx card display properties,
or an external tool (there are some nifty ones for quickly changing all kinds of display stuff).

Sacrifice lets you change FSAA settings in the game? Dunno how Sacrifice is doing it (I haven't
their source code, ehehe). Prolly there are some ways to activate FSAA within a game
(a dirty one would be to set the needed registry keys), but I don't think I will try do such
an option in my config... less mails like "I use your FSAA option with my TSENG 2000 card,
but it doesn't work" ;)

I've personnaly never seen a game where you can enable or disable FSAA in-game.
ex:in ePSXe if you start with FSAA and the come back to windows with pressing esc,if you disable FSAA in you card control panel and then come back to ePSXe FSAA will still be enabled in the emu.
That's the same with PC games.
Bye.

Enabling FSAA automatically is supported by DirectX 8, so that is the way newer games (and 3DMark2001 presumably) do it. Anyway, I guess there's no easy way to do the same with DirectX7 (according to Pete anyway, I only have the DX8 SDK), so we have to stick with the manual method until someone decides to make a DX8 GPU plugin.

As this thread seems to be turning out to some kind of 'wish-list to Pete', I decided to participate: I wish Pete's Soft-PlugIn could do Offscreen Drawing, because the battle-menu in ff9 is missing.
The soft one does offscreen drawing all the time :)

Your problem is: the frame skipping of the soft gpu will skip the frames containing the battle menu... so you have to turn it off, sorry.

Neojag, no, the Riva TNT Ultra does not do FSAA, at least not the kind that the GEForce, Radeon, Voodoo 5, and I think the Kyro cards do. CDBuRnOuT said that the Riva TNT does do a type of FSAA, I think it is called Line AA. Pete used to have this feature in his plugins, but he removed it because it was to slow. Sorry.:(
sincerely,
