Frame rates in general are ok, but theres still some very intermittant and consistant stuttering at no particular sequence and/or event in the game. I suspect its an issue with the sound; really I dont know cus as the title suggests I am running it on a rather decent gaming laptop computer (Gateway 7805u fx) and do not suspect it to be a hardware problem. My specs are as follows:

2.26 core 2 duo CPU
9800m GTS 1GB
7200 RPM 320 GB HDD
4GB DDR3 Ram

and here are the video plugin settings I'm currently running it on:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.7
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce 9800M GTS/PCI/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 1
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on
- No render-to-texture: off

- Filtering: 6
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- TexWin pixel shader: on
- VRam size: 512 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: on
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 1
- Framebuffer uploads: 1

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: off
- Shader effects: 4/4
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off [00001000]

Sound plugin used is eternal SPU 1.41 on default settings.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.**edit** almost forgot, the emulator used is epsxe 1.7

oh.. you don't force AntiAliasing globally do you?
that causes Petes OGL 2 to slow down.
