I'm getting a strange graphical glitch during battles in FF8 where there are flickering black squares where a cursor is (and was) and around the HP/ATB area. I've attached a screenshot of the glitch and my video plugin.

System Specs:
Windows Vista RTM 32-bit (SP1 for some reason won't apply)
nVidia GeForce 6150 SE (works fine with other PSX games)
AMD Athlon x64 Dual Core ~2.8 GHz processor
~2.7 GB of RAM available

Can someone please tell me what's going on with this?

try changing your off screen draw to a higher setting...and on graphics card try manually entering the amount it uses

EDIT: Tried 'em, caused some really weird text glitches but fixed the whole "black box" issue.

are you loading from a save state? i believe they can screw up the text sometimes in that game, so if you are using one then try loading off a memory card save instead and see if it corrects the problem.
