alright, dowloaded the right version, sorry bout that, everythings cool but when i run the cd it doesnt play it goes into the regular ps screen as if no cd was in. any suggesstions?!

did you configure the cdrom driver in the emulator?

swoll22, when asking for assistance, give pc processor and speed configs, as well as os and video card info. it helps a lot.


now regarding your cdrom problem, have you configured the cdrom plugin properly? you need to set the cdrom letter in two places.

if your usin xp or 2000 search for a program called force aspi to install an aspi layer on your system this is like kind of software layer between windows and your cd drive that helps it communicate a little better

yeea sHHHHHHH keep it down on the boards and plus if you ever even found psx isos to download they probally wont work no one likes hosting or downloading 600+meg files you gotta get a prog like isobuster and make your own isos

ill go in further
get a program called iso buster then install it and put your psx cd in right click on the cd and go to extract+RAW then just name the file it should be done in about 10 minutes

ok, got this isobuster thing but still cant get it to work, when i extract files -raw i have a choice on where to save them. where do i save them.

swoll22: Using extract image raw, put the iso into whatever directory you want to put the isos (doesn't matter what directory). I personally have them in the same directory as ePSXe, but it's up to you.

Did you use the "File->Run ISO" option? If not, you're supposed to do that, and choose the file you just dumped using IsoBuster.

If you've already done so..... then may I ask what game are you trying to play? Some games require special CD-ROM fixes (even when you're playing an ISO).

And... just a word of advice, can you please be more detailed in describing your problem? Saying "HELP, I can't play the game" doesn't really help us in trying to determine where the problem is... alright?

chrono cross

ok, ill try to be as specific as can be, im trying to play chrono cross and when i use the isobuster to extract raw files i put them in my playstation directory. then i run the emulator and hit file run iso, now there are no files when i go into my playstation directory at first, i have to choose the all files option and then choose from two files of chrono cross that i extracted earlier. when choose either of those files to run in iso it starts up then freezes. i have all of the plugins available for video, sound, and cdrom. what im i doing wrong?

i dont use iso buster so i dont know what extension it uses just make sure that it has iso extension in that directory
