Hi i have this kind of problem. I`m about to enter the last dungeon(fienal),so i`m almost at the end of the game.So when i try to enter the menu after some second it freezes, i hear the music,but i can`t do anything.I`m using Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.76 and using ePSXE 1.6.0. Here`s the configuration of the plugin:

are you using save states? if so, don't. try importing your save game into another emulator like PSXeven or SSSPSX and see how that goes. you can also try Peops Software GPU, it's more compatible and could help you get past that.

I had a problem like that earlier in the game, in the village of mars i think. I couldn't get out of this house no matter how hard I tried. I took my save state and ported it over to 1.5.2, got out of the house, saved a new state, and then ported it back over to 1.6 and didn't have any problems afterwards.
