hi guys

i cant seem to get SO2 (us) to run properly on ePSXe 1.7


the plugins im using are:

Petes's ogl2 2.9 (using the "nice" preset)
Eternal SPU pugin 1.10
dao image driver 0.4
BIOS version SCPH-1001


my pcs specs:

core2duo p7350 2ghz
3gb of ram
geforce 9600m gt

windows vista home 32bit

as described in the thread title im getting a broken startscreen (attached screenshot) and i cant see any fmv :(

ive tried lots of different options in D3D and ogl plugins but nothing seems to help :/

set the compatibility options in the gpu plugin to 1-2-2.

try a different emulator and see if it works.

You can always give a try...

I asked Pete four years ago about this problem and he answered:

the problem with that game is that it changes unpredictabe the display position in the main menu, and therefore the standard plugins (OGL, D3D) sometimes guess wrong what area to display. It's also dependand on the vsync signal of the main emu, sometimes the screen will be fine, sometimes not.

But since it doesn't make the game unplayable (how many ppl will be staring for hours on the start menu anyway), I decided to do nothing about it.

well it works with pSX (tested that emulator even before i posted here) but i didnt really like how it looked cos the pSX does no filtering and so on ^^ if its only in titlescreen i can live with that but i assumed that the starting screen already has some glitches the game must have em too xD

edit: if you start a new game and return to the titlescreen itll look fine ^^

edit2: another problem im having robotic voices O-o
