Error right from the start with that new release: failed to initialize "XAudio2.

Now that's new ! Hope that will be fixed quickly, I want to try the 'fixed fullscreen resolution' thing. :drool:

Actually, you have to install the DirectX End User Runtime. You can find the download here:

SSF's fullscreen mode(s) really did improve with the latest releases. Much better imo.

There's also an option to display real transparencies, and a somewhat glitchy but nice 'plugin pack' running around the webs.

It's getting more and more comfortable to actualy play games with SSF (and not just try it for fun).

Definitely. The majority of my favorites actually run glitch-free on it at this point. I'm also in the process of uploading a couple of gameplay videos of it to my YouTube channel right now.
