<div>This seems to be a bugfix update for recent R4, though as with the last one, there's no translated changelog yet.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Also, <a target="_blank" title="SSF R4 thread." href="http://www.ngemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61781">Norbi</a> posted this translation of SSF R4's changelog:</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><em>"Added preliminary DSP and digital CDDA audio support. You can hear
sound in the startup BIOS sequence and in the Giren no Yabou opening
movie. Also author saying that possible source of the emulator's
unstability is dynamic recompilation and code which emulates 68000
processor. He'll now focus on rewriting 68000 core from now on."</em>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Thanks both for the info.&nbsp;</div>

The R4' changelog is here: http://www3.realint.com/cgi-bin/tarticles.cgi?phantasy+614

The translation is as follows:

I found a bug in the DSP command implementation while trying to track down the source of the noise in Gungriffon 2, so I've uploaded a corrected version.
I hope it'll fix Madou Monogatari too...
Also, since (depending on your CD drive) it seems it can take quite a while to switch the read area from the data segment to the CDDA segment, I've increased the retry count.
That might fix games that worked in R3 and then started skipping to the multiplayer screen with R4. But as I've never had that problem myself, I can't be sure...
