Hi;

I've got what I think is a bit of a strange problem with Spyro Year of the Dragon. I've played it a little way through using a friends 'backup' disk and it worked quite well. It was impressive!!! This gave me the confidence to go out and buy the original. Sony should really allow this kind of thing as I wouldn't have bought it on the strength of the package or hype.

Unfortunately, the original disk will only play the beginning of the intro... without sound... and it never shows the "press start button" message. It just gets locked into some kind of loop right there.

Any idea of what may be wrong? I'm frustrated but open to suggestions. :eyes:

Windows ME
Celeron 800
128 meg RAM
Voodoo 3 3000
Sound Blaster PCI 128

ummm.. try pressing f4 twice then press a button on the controller.. Preferably the start button..

Thanks for the suggestion... but sorry to say, it didn't work.

All I have on the screen is Spyro, an egg and a character doing handsprings. Sound effects work, but no music and no message saying 'press start'

Any other ideas? ... Anyone?
