If someone writes a spoiler and you are subscribed to the thread, you see the whole text they typed and the spoiler included.

I'm guessing nothing can be done about it? i.e., having the e-mail simply list a member wrote a reply and no text of what was written?

they never have.

Emails are txt based, so html and bbcode is stripped out.

It's too bad there isn't a way to just get notified the thread has new posts and who posted vs getting text that includes spoilers, but I guess that's too much to expect from the code...
