Im pretty sure that this has been mentioned on the previous Sony DRM thread. But this is a new topic to discuss, as it is new news.

I heard this evening on Nightly Business Report (on PBS) that Sony has decided to recall thousands of CDs that have their excessive protection measures (software) on them, citing that the software must be installed before one can listen to the disc on a PC, the software cannot be uninstalled, and opens up security holes on the users operating system (this was already stated in the previous thread).

So its about time that Sony recalled their CDs. It seems that they caused more headaches than anything with this protection system.
Whats next from Sony in their anti-piracy quest?

I posted this on the principle that the other "Sony goes to far" thread has reached a long length, and theres a possibility that some users who jump into the thread repeat some information
