I dunno but they didn't update their site for quite a while and uh yea, their latest version is 1.35 right?

Then I heard some people said there's a 1.4 but its not on the site.
They said someone found it on a japanese site and it was a leaked version or somthin

well my real problem is that i hate those little skips of null spu plugin on mdecs. while i like the quality of this spu. so i tried to search for this so called null 1.4 if it existed. And nope didn't find it.

but i went back to the site and check the older versions. like the urls:

this file was made on 4/20/01. so its been quite a while so what happen to Null?

whatever just a question but this plugin fixed those skippy mdec's of all the games i have except lunar 2. yea thats it

To get rid of the skipping just make the buffer bigger or improve your FPS.

I had 100% perfect sound for all of FF9 with Null 1.36 and perfect in CC with Iori.

Null's SPU 1.36 doesn't exist

Null doesn't update the site because null's SPU is discontinued,but Iori's and Prodidy's SPU are based on Null's SPU.

I don't think Iori's is, though he does mention getting some help from Null, but prodigy's supposedly is. I don't know, but to me it seems like prodigy's spu is a step backwards. I've had problems with games that sound just fine under Null's except for a bit of crackling in them.

If I remember correctly,Prodigy's SPU is based on version 1.24 of null's SPU,maybe that's why you feel it's a step backward.

Ah, that could be it. Well I hope he updates because while Iori's is impressive, I find myself using Null's the most often. I just can't get Iori's to work with mdecs without crackling no matter what settings I use. And yes I have the framerate for it, framerate is not a problem here.

Gerbilcannon,try to disable SPU IRQ hack,that helped me(in fact crackling sound in MDECs is what prevented me to use Iori's SPU before,but now I only use this one).

Thanks, but it is disabled already. Or do you mean the option in Iori's plug-in as well? Hmm ... just gave me an idea to try ... nope, didn't work, didn't work and didn't work. Guess it doesn't like my sound card. Or it could be the fact that I'm using a beta version of directx 8.1 with a beta version of windows XP drivers under windows 2000 (have to use them though til official win2k drivers are released, they fixed MANY sound problems in the XP ones).

I use Iori's and I can play Chrono Cross with perfect sound in the game and in the mdecs. spu irq hack should be disabled in the sound config. irq hack should be enabled inside iori's config. Maybe you hve to configure better the sound and xa buffer.
