Possession
Developed on the "Flame" engine for next-generation consoles and PC systems, Blitz Games' Possession is a twisted action-RTS where you are an undead zombie looking to exact revenge on the humans who made you this creature. As The Enslaver, you control a mass of zombies, and can command the hoard or possess one of the minions to take control and unleash hell.

Metronome
Venture into the city of Metronome, a sprawling mass of haphazardly built houses and makeshift machinery where the outlandish inhabitants are carrying out their chores day and night. A city where the life of every citizen is dictated by the Corporation, a single bureaucratic entity that owns all the land, the entire infrastructure and all the industries.

Explore winding alleys, skewed rooftops and crowded apartment buildings as you search for proof of the Corporations secret agenda. In the game, sound is your weapon -- Listen for sounds to record that will help you manipulate your surroundings, fight off your enemies, and combine with other sounds for 'ideas' which can control the citizens, as you slowly uncover a mystery that reaches out from the borders of the game and into reality itself.

The game is played in first-person perspective, and with the use of the Havok 3.0 physics engine and other advanced techniques, players can utilize anything in the area as a weapon when they've been cornered by their prey.

Those graphics look terrible. At best they look like a low end Xbox port.

I hoping these are not the real PS3 graphics. I expect the graphics on the PS3 to be much more powerful.

Why not assume? its fun.

circumstances i was too lazy to post before:

1.) PS3 is more powerful than xbox360 and usually ports to more powerful consoles happen when we're talking about third-party developed games
2.) exclusives usually dont stay exclusive for long unless when its first party...

mebe theres more but im just that lazy and i feel those two are worthy enuff to support my assumption. feel free to dispute me.

EDIT: ... well u went and made me start thinking...i hate it when i have to do that...

official Bethesda site says :
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion™ is currently in development for PC and future generation consoles
well there we have it. u were assuming too :p since its consoles with an "s", its not announced only for xbox360 and pc >_<.

If I am not mistaken The Elder Scrols4 will be on the PC and Xbox not PS3
It's coming out (or at least announced for) PC and a next gen platform TBD. People assume it'll be for Xbox 360, but I think it's possible for the PS3 to handle.
EDIT: Eep, took too long to research.

In an interview or a magazine article one of the Bethesda guys said XBOX 360 was one of them. But you do have a point, PS3 could be one. It all depends on how easy it is to port. XNA exists so that's why PC and XBOX 360 ports are easy. Oh well, I'll get the PC version in any case.

Well, how about those 2Days to Vegas screens. Those look next gen, if not next-next gen :p

But seriously, I was NOT impressed by any of these shots.

I thought Condemned looked pretty impressive. I'd really like to see that game in motion. Possession looked pretty ho-hum though. I guess now that consoles are getting so powerful, it's going to become more and more difficult to develop games that do them justice. I think we may be seeing a lot of graphically lackluster titles in the first batch of next-gen games.

The only game that was moderately impressive was Heavenly Sword, and that's only if those were all in-game pics. Condemned doesn't look bad, but it has some terrible lighting filters.

It won't be nearly as easy as before to port games between systems anymore, Cell and 3 x power PC works very differently.

Consept art anyone?

most of those shots arent from actual gameplay or even ingame, they are from prototype games made on entirely different hardware. They are only there to give an indication on the gfx power present in nextgen machines. One of the pictures even says "Prototype May 2004" CMON! thats 100% fake (as in not actual ingame gfx)
