Some problems w/ certain games

I'm using Pete's OpenGL plugin, and the ASPI cdrom core or something...and when I play Monster Rancher 2...and I'm finished w/ the adventure (i.e. the phoenix volcano one) the screen turns black and my comptuer locks up...and when I'm playing Syphon Filter...when Lian Xing radios in, no sound plays at all...any help? thanks
