Some one explain some stuff about the PS3?

I only have a PS1 lol back when PS2 was new and not too much expensive..at least I think.. I bought the PS1 on 2001 when I was like 7 years old.

so some one may explain to me:

1-) Define the Playstation 3
2-) What does it mean a PS3 Have 160 GBS Disk space?
3-) Can You use the internet On the PS3?
4-) Does the PS3 Acts like mac or PC or some thing?
5-) if you don't/Can't answer the 4 Questions , can you explain it all please?
6-) I heard about a problem about Region Lock on the XBOX360 , people can't play USA Games on their EUR Region XBOX360. Can or are any of the PS3 Games Region Locked?
7-) Extra : If I am buying a Very old game made on 2006 , how much do you think it will cost , 30$?

1.) Sony's third generation video game console.

2.) It means that it has a 160GB hard disk drive (HDD).

3.) Yes.

4.) Sorta'. You can install a special version of Linux on it and plug a USB keyboard and mouse into it if you want. Note that this doesn't mean you can run any actual PC software on it. The software must be compiled for use on the Cell CPU and be compatible with Linux/Unix.

5.) Too lazy. Sorry. Ask more questions in a follow-up post.

6.) PS3 games aren't region locked. When running in backwards compatibility mode (PS1, PS2) it is region locked.

7.) I dunno. I've seen some used PS3 games at Gamestop selling for $10.

a Modded Xbox360 doesn't have that bull****. And as Masta said, PS3 games aren't region locked.

It depends on the game and its condition.

I found a used MGS4 for 90 Riyal Saudi = 24 US Dollar.

Koko, I thought most of the games in Saudi were pirated, was that the cause for the low price of that game?

You're right about that. But, PS3 didn't hack yet and the reason why that game costs less because of these reasons:

1- The game is used
2- The game is from 2008
3- The PS3 failed here because it's not modded yet.

Most of people here bought 360 cause its games cost 3 Dollars :lol:

Seriously Though , shouldn't the games cost 10-5 dollars in the Unitedstates for example?
I remember buying PS1 Games for 5 Pounds (Egyptian). I like Buy 10 PS1 Games a month during holidays... good times :]

also I see a PS2 Game for 40... Can games be sooo overrated Enough to be bought with the most prices?

any ways I am trying to buy a game that almost every one hates and think its graphics/story is bad but at least I don't think the story very bad from the looks of the trailers.
does it affect the prices? or its just any game for 60$ O_O

I am trying to buy a PS3 Obvious >_>
the XBOX360 I heard rumors about it the region lock and such.
so I just wanted to know if the PS3 gets the same problem or not and what is the PS3 basically. I have a PS1 That is all.

also I wanted to know if the PS3 Games cheap or not. can PS3 games Cost $15 , 10$ or 5$ (probably not $5).
their is a hated game by 90% of the gamers in the world that i really like it that i wanna buy and making sure that Bad games and old games would cost a little or not.
i want to know if its worth it , so I don't really buy 1 game for 60$ o_o.

If it's a new game that is just released that EVERYONE IN THE FREAKING WORLD WILL KNOW THAT IT WILL SUCK, I'm sure that it still will be around $60-$50. Video games is a business. We're in a failing economy. People are scrambling for money. If you're lucky, then the game may be $40 at the very least when it comes out. But I would highly highly doubt it.

Honestly the Maxim mum should be 20.... Maybe when I buy the PS3 i buy games with 500$ or until i pay total of 1000... maybe 10 games and one game per month but honestly who would be too rich for some video games?

are the PS3 games Really interesting and would last a big time playing them?
