Not sure what the problem but it seems to apply to all the games that I play. The problem is that I experience slowdowns quite frequently. The game would slow down to a few fps for a couple seconds and eventually run fine. It happens probably, every 10 minutes or so? Not a huge issue but it does take away from the general experience.

My computer most likely isn't the problem since it has pretty good specs. I usually only have msn or firefox open when I'm using it. Are there specific configurations I could use or change on no$gba?

I'm using 2.6a if that matters.

Clockstate management, known as cool & quiet on amd chips.

intel's speedstepping doesn't generally have such issues.

Or it could be a laptop overheating and underclocking itself to stay cool.

Only those which access the Timer directly instead of via the windows api.

A friend of mine has no problems at all when he plays on his emulator. The only times he suffers any kind of slowdown are during graphics-intensive areas such as opening movies.

Thanks for the help but I managed to solve the problem slightly. I changed some of the setting on the emulator which made it run faster. Some slowdowns here and there, but overall much better. :)
