I was wondering what the sizes of theses files should be. (although I understand they aren't used yet) I just want to make sure I got the right ones.

The sizes I have are:
erom: 4.00MB
rom1: 195Kb
rom2: 4.00MB

It looks suspicious because 2 of them are the same size as the main BIOS.

BTW the emulator is progressing nicely, I can already get to the main menu of some of the comercial games I have. Nice work!!!!!

Example:

Europe v01.90 [23-06-2003] Console.EROM 3.00 MB (3,145,728 bytes)
Europe v01.90 [23-06-2003] Console.ROM0 4.00 MB (4,194,304 bytes)
Europe v01.90 [23-06-2003] Console.ROM1 512 KB (524,288 bytes)
Europe v01.90 [23-06-2003] Console.ROM2 512 KB (524,288 bytes)

You 'get' the right ones if you dump your own BIOS, which I hope you did, else this topic ends here and now.

hmmmmmm

Thanks for the info

BTW this post was completely within the rules and some of us (like me) don't have the technical know-how nor the time to dump the BIOS ourselves and must resort to finding it by other means. I have a PS2 which I play regularly the games I own. (Some people actually like emulators to play the games they own with enhanced graphics and with save-state support). :hdbash:

*Takes a deep breath*

But I also understand what you guys go through and hope this post won't come off the wrong way.

Keep up the good work.

Technical know-how, oh come on, it's not hard in the slightest ;) Time?...it's at worst a 15 minute job, and thats if you have Tourettes Syndrome.

I am well aware people wish to play games with enhanced graphics, savestate support, on the fly cheating, and all the other goodies emulation brings, but I don't see the relivance to this topic ;)

If you are 'aquiring' a BIOS from illegal sources, simple solution, don't bloody discuss it here, as it is against the rules, and we just don't want or don't care to know.

The initial post was certainly not breaking the rules, I simply put:

You 'get' the right ones if you dump your own BIOS, which I hope you did, else this topic ends here and now.
To say "You will of course get the correct sizes if you dump this yourself, I hope you are dumping the BIOS yourself, because if not, don't bring it up here, hint hint"

Sorry, I looked into this over a year ago and it involved modding your ps2 and other such things :emb: You're right it is much easier now! :heh:

*goes and dumps own BIOS*
