Unbelievable!...The good news that it's for PS2 owners Too.....I Like Konami.Konami just announced that the once-rumored Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is headed to Wii, PSP, and PS2. Development duties are being handled by Climax, the team behind PSP hit Silent Hill Origins. Surprised? Didn’t think so.
Shattered Memories is billed as a “clever reimagining” of the original Silent Hill, which graced the PSOne back in 1999. Following the blood-soaked tale of Harry Mason as he ventures throughout the town of Silent Hill, the game’s dialogue has been rewritten and will offer new content in the way of branched gameplay paths.
The Wii variant will utilize the console’s motion-sensing capabilities for handling a torch and cell phone, the latter of which acts as a secondary user interface, providing GPS tracking and the ability to take pictures of surrounding environments. Additionally, the Wii Remote will be used heavily in manipulating puzzles and interacting with nearby objects.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is slated to hit all three formats later this autumn. No screenshots yet, only a piece of artwork depicting Harry Mason, the game’s protagonist.
