Whenever I try to play Silent Hill, it freezes during the second company title name at the very begining of the game BEFORE it even gets to the title menu. Does anyone know how to fix this, or has gotten this game to work? If so, show oyur plugin specs please.

Well, I fixed it buy enabling the first memcard only.. Not the second.. Then the game loaded fine.. When I got to the title page or ingame, I just save stated.. Then when ingame I saved it to a memcard..

well thats the problem, i cant even get passed the title of KCET right after the Konami title. It just sits there. I disables the 2nd mem card, and still the same thing. Can you/someone make a save state right at the title screen for me???

If you're using ePSxe V1.4, then you won't be able to get pass that.. as far as i know, doesn't work with 1.4... use v1.2 to get pass that...

I used 1.4 and got past that part easily by doing what I did in the post.. Oh and the memcard has to be unformatted.. Made a mistake up there.. Or just set both memcards but don't format them..

Still stuck with silent hill?

Silent hill problem has been posted and discussed again and again on this site.The game works in both epsxe 1.2 and 1.4(So Xeven ,check it out again).

Possible solutions have been pressing F4 at the KCET screen and then pressing it again before and after you save your game.Another possible solution(thats what I did) is by not selecting any memory cards and then saving your games using your save states.

And yes when you get your game started please enable mask bit option in pete's plugin and you may also need accurate cd rom timing.(I hope this saves you from making another post).

I have that problem too. But the game inexplicably worked before, and I had a save state at the opening FMV, so it all worked ok, except I can't access saved games. I need to use save states.
