I start my comp up and it shows the Gateway screen, but then it just turns off. After it turns off the light on the front of the comp stays on, and I can't turn it off unless I unplug the comp. I have no idea what the problem is and was wondering if someone could please help me. My specs are in my sig, and I have a 450 Watt psu.

Open up the PC and check for anything thats lose first ex. ram, video card, sound card etc.. even all the cords. It is not the hard drive because it would tell you that there is just no drive.


Second. If the above does not work: did you just add something to your pc hardware wise? if so the power function although not likely the problem could shut it down via a UPS thats overloading etc...


Third. Can you get into your bios at all?

It was the psu. It must have burned out or something. I returned it to the store and got a 550 for the same price since it was on sale.
