Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne Ladder Glitch

"So it turns out it was the emulation. So i guess the warning is (shining some light on the forbidden area of custom builds), if you are using the 389X3 v2 build (the build highly recommended for persona 3), then beware because it for some reason has this ONE problem with that specific ladder. I experimented with no bounds on reentering the area, saving unsaving, save-stating, etc. but nothing worked and I also explored the entire dungeon level from point to point to make sure that wasn't where I was supposed to go. But no matter what I tried, my brain told me that WAS the ladder and I was officially screwd

Then the one brain cell in my body started kicking in and I tried ANOTHER build. It would've been my last measure, and it worked. I used the SVN 9.5 build [ironically what most people use as opposed to my original build ANYWAY] and the ladder worked.

So I can't imagine many people running into the problem I did b/c most people don't even know the build I used existed. It's cause I just finished persona 3 FES, and it works great for that game

While searching for a solution to the glitch (There is a ladder in the Assembly of Nihilo which I can't go through and I need to in order to continue) This was what I found. I was wondering, exactly how do you change and configure your build? Frankly, I am not even sure which build I am using... (PCSX 0.9.6?) And will changing your build affect your other games and saves?
