Hey guys,
just got pcsx with working bios running and now i wanted to play shadow of the colossus as an .iso image with the emu. the problem is, that the emulator always crashes at the same position, right after I seleceted the image from 'File' -> 'Run CD/DVD'. Then it starts, but only for one second, which means, that the logo from the producer is visible, but right after switching to the menu or intro (dunno which) the emulator just shuts down/the process gets killed immediately.
I tried to optimize the configuration for sound, graphics, etc. but it seems that nothing changed at all. has anybody an idea how to fix this problem? i'm not shure if it is because of the game (don't think so) or because of my computer.
my configuration is: amd athlon xp 2800+, geforce 6600gt, nforce 2 mainboard and some other unimportant things (i guess..)
i'd be so thankful for any help!

Athlon xp 2800+ << This cpu doesn't have SSE2, which is required for gsdx to work.
You could use an old ZeroGS non SSE2, but the game would be even slower (about 3fps then ).

argh damnit i'm already using zerogs 0.97 non-sse2 version, but still this error occurs, already found out, that my cpu sucks

Even if your CPU was great it wouldn't be able to play it fast. Shadow of the Colussus can't run very well yet.

Mh could be true, but I want to be able to try/run it at least to see, if it's playable, but that isn't possbile to some reason, that's why I'm asking for help here...

There arent many games that run on my athlon xp normally, have to disable EErec so they can run but they do slowly, probably this is one of this games.

if it's playable

It won't be on your system. Try some 2D PS2 games, or compatible games like FFX and KH.

Using my old AthlonXP 3000+ I found that games that were the most playable (of the very few that I have) are the Disgea games (sticks around 25-30fps, quite playable) and Tekken 4's Tekken Force mode sticked around the 7-14fps barrier, and was still playable. Slow but still fun.

Oh, these are some bad news for me...now that's one more reason for buying a new pc

there is some dood on xtremesystems forum selling his old pc.. biostar p45 mobo, lapped q6600 cpu, gf 8800gts gfx card, 2 gigs ram with case and power supply for $410 shipped..pretty good deal if you want a soild last generation pc that will play most games (true pc and ps2 on pcsx2)

You Know What.I Have A PS2 Slim And Running The Opl And Starting My Games Was All Good.At A Certain Point In SOTC More Describely At The 5th Colossus My Game Crashes(Stops And Went To Black And Return To The Main Menu)I Am Doe Hard Fan Of SOTC Of Just Watching The Game Then.I Dont Know What To Do Pleasee Give Me Reply If You Have Any Idea🙏
