So.....I have downloaded the program, got all the plugins, and configured the thing. But I basically just copied everything that was on the walk through page that I used as a guide. How can I tell which settings are best for me? Is there a key anywhere? Am I just supposed to know it?

I am using a PSX Magazine demo disk just to get me started (Because I can't find where I've put my PSX CD's since my daughter dropped the PSX and busted it). I got it running but it was horribly slow and didn't seem like it looked like it should (I would have assumed it would go straight to a menu but it was showing video clips at a VERY slow rate).

Basically I'm looking for a FAQ before I start asking anymore stupid questions :) Thanks for any help.

Thank you-here are my specs

1.2 ghz amd athlon Micron PC Millennia. I went to look up what my graphics card is and all of that but I can't find it. It's all the standard equipped stuff. If someone would be so kind as to tell me how to figure out what graphics card and sound card I have I'd be happy to tell you :)

Here are my Specs...

64 MB Ram
1.2 GHZ AMD Athlon Proccessor
Display Adapter INVIDIA Vanta/Vanta LT
Sound Controller VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM)

Nothing about a soundblaster anywhere.

Any more info you need before you can get me started in the right direction?

Thanks for the help thus far.

About my pc...and thanks to Hung

I got my PC at a liquidator actually at a steal of a price. MSRP at Best BUy was like 1200.00. I got mine a week before it hit the shelves for like 450.00. It came from a truck on it's way to best buy that rolled. The liquidator was only able to salvage 2 of the computers out of the load and I bought them both. It's the best system I ever bought and the price simply couldn't be beat at the time (like I said, these hadn't even hit the shelves yet).

As soon as I saw that I only had 64 MB ram tonight it tipped me off that I had a problem. No wonder Rainbow Six runs so ugly on my machine. That could actually be the source of the problem I'm having with most online games. I'll get some ram in the near future. Meanwhile, I'll try out your suggestions and I'm sure I'll be back :)
