then if you go to the hardware tab in my computer properties and go to device manager you should see a list of stuff like this pic
expand display adapters and sound /vidoe controllers
your card will likely be geforce2 or nvidia something
your sound card will likely be naned sound blaster live

ok i was just typing out a longgg response then i lost it (had to reboot)

heres my break down of it

1.who did you get this pc from did u buy it recently and what did u pay for it? i think you may of been ripped off?

2.buy more ram (256 megs at least)and a decent video card more suited to your above average proccesor a vanta and 64 megs of ram with a 1.2 gigge rwhat were the people that made this system thinking???? get a geforce 2 or 3 to use your pc to the fullest advantage

3.ac97 integrated audio is good for everything except n64 emulators(its what i have )

4.use petes direct x6 driver or petes d3d driver and press the setting "fast"
internal spu is good for you

the main thing thats good about epxe is the ability to configure so much it allows you to achivre better graphics than an actual ps1
its not nice for newbs but read the forums and try different settings
and if all else fails use the soft driver(more compatibility but ugly graphics)
