Well i just got my new pc, with a ati x600, and i wanted to sell my old commputers videocard for a few extra bucks to buy more ram for my new one.

So i just wanted to know how much it would sell for.

BFG tech. Nvidia Geforce 5500 fx 256mb.

I bought it last christmas and it still works perfectly.
So, first of all is ayone interested?
Second, is there any place i could go to sell it?

On a side note, i am going to buy my ram from newegg, however i dont know which one yet. I have a dell 9100. Thanks

I really recommend it as a backup as well, you don't want to go all the way back to onboard video. And if your mobo doesn't even have that you're screwed till you get yourself a new video card. The small amount of money you will get when you sell it isn't worth the trouble of waiting when your new one has got problems.

1st of all, on my new computer, i belive i have a 1 or 2 year warrenty, so im good for now xD
2nd i think the ram is 88$ so thats really all i need.

3rd, ive never blown my video card ever, and i dont overclock at all. How else could it break? just wondering.

maybe when you're helping someone else out? or it could just die. rather than waiting for the warranty you can just swap the old one in temporarily.

also, that card isnt very valuable, you arent likely to get jack squat for it. i've seen that card go for south of 50 bucks at Fry's IIRC, unfortunately. it'd be more trouble than it's worth to sell it.

The price I quoted for the card is if you bought one brand new, selling it used as you would be doing would mean cutting the price by at least a third.

And the warrenty is great but what if the new card goes wrong at a weekend or on a holiday (a national holiday that is, not yours), when you can't get in touch with the warrenty people. Could you really do without your computer for two days, possibly more.

Video cards, like most other technology, can sometimes go wrong for no reason at all.

Well since his x600 pro is pci express only keeping that agp card won't help with that mobo since it's pciexpress or am i mistaken and the ati x600pro was also agp?

GCFreak: Please don't make fun of a TNT2, I've been using my own 32mb one for 6 years now and it has never failed me. Unlike more recent hardware.

Anyway Makotech, if you can help our a friend with it and you want to rely on the warranty it might be nice to help each other out :)

yep, my sister has been using a TNT2 M64 for 5 years now and it's remained faithful while i've watched tons of other hardware fail. 'course, by now, that card sucks but oh well. slow and steady wins the race? :p

Just a small sidenote: I wasn't feeling offended, I just felt like taking the piss out of someone making a kinda useles post :p

I still like the way the card runs Gunz, but it's a shame it can't run Morrowind... But at least now I've seen the full potential of it cause it's always been limited by my slow cpu. I'm very glad that I kept the card as a backup :) I don't like the feeling of having to switch to onboard video at the expense of my ram memory.

ebay but i would say you may get around 20-50bucks for it or maynot even that since gf4tis on ebay is 20 bucks so, dont expect a lot.
