screen goes black and levels wont work-crash bandicoot 3: warped

hey i got my epsxe working and was playing crash bandicoot 3: warped and all was goin well, but when i get to the fifth level, the sound comes on and the game proceeds but i get a frozen screen and when i pause it, the current screen moves to the corner like its supposed to but the menu is all black. if anyone can help that'd be dope. thanx [MCL]

Does the audio still play? If so, then it could just be the graphics plugin. Depending on your card, it could explain these black screens. I had the same problem with Crash Bandicoot 2. Anyways, try that. If not that, then there could be a problem with the game file itself. I like to go to either of these sites for the latest plugins:
NGEmu

(The unfortunate thing is that most, if not all of their download links are broken, but you can at least get the plugin names and google it.)
