screen goes black and levels wont work-crash bandicoot 3: warped

hey i got my epsxe working and was playing crash bandicoot 3: warped and all was goin well, but when i get to the fifth level, the sound comes on and the game proceeds but i get a frozen screen and when i pause it, the current screen moves to the corner like its supposed to but the menu is all black. if anyone can help that'd be dope. thanx [MCL]

hi have got epsxe 1.7.0 and i have used it a few times and it worked fine with mortal kombat trilogy up until last night it just came up with a black screen can anyone help?
