Probably issues along the lines of pal having a slower frame rate and larger resolution than ntsc. I know when I play pal games in my us ps2 (with flip top and swap magic) I have to run the boot disc as a "special boot" and change the mode from normal to pal, otherwise the screen is black and white and it flips. Even with the special boot mode, the sound gets put out of sync because of the frame rate being increased, and the screen is always off center.I'm not sure if this is the problem with running pal games in the emu, but my guess is with a US BIOS, it may get tripped up.
