I would like to know how to limit the fps for this game.

I am playing this game and it running at 90 fps, i hope i can set it to 60fps. If u know how, plz tell me.

The reason i want to set it to lower fps because i really cant stand the speed anymore, since the game run so fast, it makes me feel faint, uncomfortable, and have a desire to vomit.

well pc game frame rates are not limited to v-sync(turning it on only lessens tearing and may lower performance) they are usually in 30fps anything in excess doesn't speed-up the game only makes it smoother. RTCW is q3 engine based and if you use q3 for benchmarking you'll know that what appears in 60fps is also the same as what appears in 90 fps maybe, the game is fast(not sure,i haven't got my copy yet) after all it is q3 engine based and is a fps.

as for nausea try taking a break every 30 mins and not sitting too near the monitor

There's no way to limit the game speed, and this goes for every PC game. You can't set the FPS lower like in epsxe and expect the game itself to slow down. If the game is fast-paced then you have to live with it, and being based on the Quake 3 engine I assume it's so. I'll be getting my copy very soon, can't wait to play :)

This is a good game.the graphics is great when u set evrything to maximum ( it still looks great even if u lower down some setting, but remember to set fsaa ).

I was looking for those pc games with ps2 quality, and i found this game, and indeed, it is what i wanted.

Besides graphics, the gameplay for single player also good. The only problem for me is this game run too fast, which made me stop to play it.

I originally played Wolfenstein 3D on a 286 @ 25 Mhz and on a 5.25" floppy disk. My friend brought the disk over and we played it. I had a VGA card but my VGA monitor was on the fritz so I had to play on a monochrome monitor.

And I personally thought the Heretic series were really great. The weapons were cool in Heretic, especially when they were powered up and it was the first FPS game to allow you to look and shoot vertically (most people attribute Duke3D with that). Hexen was also a very cool game, as well as its sequel. I've never played Heretic 2 though, maybe I'll give that a whirl someday.
