CV:X for ps2 added a more indepth cutscene between two key players. It's worth watching, but nothing to go out of the way and spend money for.

The extra information can be read on many sites. The Dc version also handles alot better. The load times are shorter, and has a bit and I mean a small bit crisper look to it.

Resident Evil 2 is the must play of the serious. It was truthfully the one that made the RE series what it is. RE 1 set the stage for surival horror, while Re2 took it and made it a nice shiny gold medal. It was a shame and a disgrace that capcom didn't do a remake for it, instead of just releasing another port of it.

RE:Gunsurvivors are pretty bad. The most recent one, "Dead Aim" had potentail, but fell short. I think the biggest mistake was the can only shoot when stopped problem. (controls as well)

Whatever you do, don't play the GBC game. Gaiden..It's been removed from the offical timeline and I'd like to see it stay that way. *shudders*

All the games are tied in some odd way. You learn more and more about the circumstances from different games that make a whole picture.

Hunk can also be seen in the opening trailer for "Resident Evil: Outbreak". (Which I actually liked).

Resident Evil 2 is a great game I am personally glad we got that instead of the "Resident Evil 1.5" that so many wanted. It was one of the first games during that time that left a deep impression on how remarkable gaming can become. I didn't find it scary, but did find it a great rush at times.

Resident Evil 3 on the other hand had such great hopes. I think what killed it was the length and text based choices. It was great seeing "Mr. X" in Re2 bust down the door and run like hell from him. While in Re3 it was more of "Do you wish to run or stay and fight?" text boxes which pulled you out of the game.

The gun survivor series is hated, yet they arn't the worse games out there. Resident Evil Gaiden was so bad that the director actually strict it from the timeline and gaming community. Dead Aim, the last game in the surivor series was a great budget game if you can find it for cheap. I liked the atmosphere of the ship. (especially after watching Ghostship a day before).

I suggest if you want to play RE and want the whole picture try and play everything. You'll find a much deeper experience than most realized.

Yet, I still consider the SH series and Fatal Frame series to be the games that made the horror in surival horror. While re, just made the survival.
