i've been trying to use epsxe to run resident evil games, and using the ogl2 plugin. it worked fine before. but now i have a problem. i get a big slowdown at the FMV's of capcom's logo, the main menu, character selection screen (RE1). but, the first FMV runs fine, and the game also runs fine, but i want those parts of the game not to slow. here's my pc specs and config:

what happens if you switch back to another driver? is it still slow? if so i can probably bet you have a dirty CD.

it can't be dirty disc, as it happens in all Resident Evil games.
and why only these parts get slowed? there must be a solution... i wanna run it on ogl2 so i don't have to resort to the normal ogl plugins which are quite... bad graphically.

yikes, your crappy 5200 can't handle that. turn off texture filtering for sure. and turn framebuffer effects and framebuffer upload down a notch each.

but framebuffer upload/effects dont have anything to do with those screens, so no need to change it

I tried turning down the framebuffer effects/upload and turned off the texture filtering, but neither worked.

are you sure? are you using v-sync in your card's control panel, cauze that is xtremnelly wierd

perhaps setting internal resolutions to 0, if that doesnt work then...

have you tried just using OpenGL 1.76? using OGL2 at internal res 0 looks like a soft plugin.

i don't really like using ogl 1.76 plugin. i get several graphical glitches, like in FMVs. some greenish stuff appears everytime when i enter an fmv or sometimes even during the fmv.

also, how do i know where to look to know if vsync is on? control panel?
