I'm having problems playing resident evil. I have the iso but whenever i try to play it the emulator goes black and stops responding. http://forums.ngemu.com/images/smilies/Animated/hdbash.gif

I've tryed different cddrive plugins and i get the same result.
I'm new to psx emulation and if i'm making an obvious error, please help.

p.s. This is the only psx game i've tried to emulate so i don't kno if the problem lies with the iso file or the emulator config.

Have you tried remaking the ISO or running the game straight off of the disc? Does the BIOS run correctly (File->Run BIOS)?

well, i got the game offa the web so i cant re dump it or play it offa the disk, but i tried to run the bios and all i got was the black screen.

Well, if you had read the [rules]rules[/rules], you would know that piracy isn't tolerated here. Besides, many PSX ISOs floating around on the Internet are of poor quality so that's probably your problem.
