Resdent Evil 3 sometimes slow

Sometimes Resident Evil 3 runs very slow, and always when blows barrels. I'm using ePSXe 1.4.0 When i used ePSXe 1.2.0 speed was normal, but when i tried to play with ePSXe 1.2.0 after installing 1.4.0 v. the speed was bad. :(
