Hey there, I'm new on these forums, haven't browsed them much~ :O

So anyway, I finally configured my ePSXe to have amazing graphics for Valkyrie Profile and it's running fairly good, a bit slow for certain actions, otherwise it's very good.

I wanted to record a fight in the game to show someone, however, recording with the default

"Cinepak Codec by Radius" has given me an 81 seconds video of 1.1gb for 800x600 :x hehe
so I lowered it to 400x300 and made a 61 seconds video of 212mb.

I don't want to make the movie any smaller really~ so any tips and tricks to lower the file size a bit more without losing too much quality? :x

The nice thing about video compression is that, since it's such a big deal and always has been, it's gotten very advanced. Audio is still working to catch up, although I think that it's gotten "there" until this whole DRM debacle blows over.

In other words... don't worry about loss of quality too much. It won't degrade much.
