so i have a very fast comp and when i run the game(kingdom hearts) the ps2 intro screen shows up and it runs like a ps2 (no lag). but when the game is about to run it says pcsx2 has stopped working. any solutions?

Post ur pc specs, emulator version, and plugin configuration.

Hit run CD/DVD instead of execute, execute makes it crash sometimes.

i dont know what version of pcsx2 i got.

When u open the emu, does a message sayign update DirectX comes up, if yes, then update ur DirectX to the latest version. Try downloading the latest version of the plugins, u can find them here : ..:: PCSX2 Forums ::.. - Discussion and support

To find what version of pcsx2 u have, check the screenshot below to see where it is located.

You have to select Run CD/DVD, not Open ELF File.

Guess he doesn't read well, I mentioned that above, lol.
Make sure to configure the plugins for CD/DVD as well, use Linuzapps if using an ISO file. Use P.e.op.s if running it from the disc.

And use the version you get from pcsx2.net.

Btw: How did it occur to you to choose run elf?

HI, well I am having the same problem. I am running PCSX2 .0.9.6
I am the EFP ISO CDCD Driver 0.6.0 Cdvdrom. I get the same error whether i run off of exucute or cd/dvd run.

Linuz Iso cdvd is recommended. Try that please.

Yep, try Lizuzapps. That EFP ISO plugin never worked for me, it gave me error no matter what game, so I stuck to Linuzapps.
