While playing FF9 (us) I get a wired random (?) crash when I get into battle.
The epsxe 1.4.0 console shows this:

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.4.0.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\scph7502.bin].
* Init ISO code ... ok
* Doing init gpu...
* Gpu open...
* Direct input init ok.
* Init core spu ... ok
* NTSC cdrom detected.
* Closing core spu...
* Closing gpu ...
* Shutdown gpu ...
* Closing ISO system.
SPEC Opcode 3e UNK (PC 000ad574) (000ad518) (64246,17)

It doesn't seem to matter what gpu, spu or whatever I use that "SPEC Opcode 3e UNK" still make epsxe crash..

I have a GeForce 2 MX.

Nope, this is as far from a burned copy you can get (a real one that is..). And everything worked fine with epsxe 1.2.0..
I just got back from playing FF9 for a few hours without any crash at all... maybe that bios change did work after all..
