The Omega Drivers are compatible with all ATI Radeon cards:
(it doesn't matter if they are DDR, SDR, PCI, PCI-E, AGP, Mobile, Retail, OEM or 3rd Party)

Radeon 7x00/VE/LE
Radeon 8500/LE
Radeon 9x00/SE/Pro/XT/TX
Radeon xX00/SE/Pro/XT/PE
All Mobility Radeons (M6 and up)

Because some people use ATI Mobility Radeons, which the official drivers don't support. Also, for some people, the Omegas perform better or look better than the officials.

About stability: I use the Omega drivers, and see ZERO stability issues stemming from them. That claim of stability is totally baseless and unfounded. If you found it unstable, then it must have been your own computer.
