my friend and I bought a rackmount server a little while back. It came with the Rack, computer, and several SCSI harddrives, a UPS, and some other things. The problem is that we can't get the computer to work. It's got a duel pentium2 processor and should have more than enough memory. When we turn it on the only thing we see on the screen is a horizontal bar blinking. It gives no bios output on boot or anything. We've tried putting in all manor of boot disks with no response. If anyone has any experience with rackmounts and have any idea what's going on could you help us get this up and running?

Does the board post/do anything without the p2's in the sockets? Try to narrow down what is broken.

A rackmount server is nothing special. You'd use the same troubleshooting procedures you would with any other PC.
