i going to get a new video card for my system, ,mainly for games but im not sure which one to choose. Both are in the same price range just a few dollars in diff.

Do i pick a made by ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128mb 8x apg (refeb) or PNY Verto GeForce 6200 128md 8x agp (new) ? :???:

hmm its a tough call, performance cant be much different, altho i have to agree with these guys, the shaders are probably better on the 9700, even if the 6200 does support PS3.0, its not much good if everything runs at 0.1fps on it

An unlocked 6200 would be faster and more overclockable than a 9700 Pro (Check the Futuremark ORB.) and would have SM3.0. However, the 6200 cards that can be unlocked are getting rarer by the day.

Performance wont be much different among the two but I would have gone for a 9700 pro coz IMO Its better to prefer the top card of one generation than bottomline card of next generation.

Should be closer to 2-3 times faster in games that use complex shaders.

the video card is runing NFS: U2 w/ great speed and NFS:: MW is looking better then my PS2 verion but just by a little bit. I think i will have to upgrade my Cpu and motherboard pritty soon, cause i feel like my system is bottel-necking now.
