Hi, I was just looking at Intel Processors, and I noticed the Q9650 has dropped nearly half it's original price....

This makes a Quad look more attractive to me here, and 3.0 GHZ ain't that far off from 3.33....

Just so long as I could still get her to 4.0GHZ or 4.2GHZ....that's good enough...

As you know I already own everything I need for the upgrade..and have Windows Home Premium Vista 64 installed/or on disc...with a beefy enough power supply... And I think the Rampage Formula can more than handle this.....

just a few short opinions would be appreciated....

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.0GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775

also at Tiger Direct....

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 Processor BX80569Q9650 - 3.0GHz, 12MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Yorkfield, Quad-Core, Retail, Socket 775, Processor with Fan in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

Thanks...

they seem to get to 4.0ghz fairly easily after a quick google search, so if you are really keen on getting a quad then obviously buy the cheaper one from newegg.

For the love of God...

Look, Gameman, the system that you have right now is perfectly fine. It's not really worth upgrading anything on it at this point in time. (except your display )

Hold on for a while until some major hardware upgrades become available. I usually hold on to a new PC build for a couple of years, only upgrading things like my HDD or RAM as necessary. :/

This isn't definite like the monitor idea....sorry, I mean Television...

The televiisons happening...I was just wondering if this was a better idea....

I guess not..or rather opinions seem mixed at this point....

what I really would like is that E8700 they keep teasing us about...

but I won't go there....

gotta admit, though almost HALF PRICE is mighty attractive....:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
