Hello! I'm new to the board, and I can't help but notice that the information in your ePSXe topics are quite useful.

Here is my current FF9 status:

I just bought FF9 (PSX) off of EBay because it seems FF9 won't be coming out for the PC. The cd's are in the mail, and I want to

I have a Pentium III 800 megahertz cpu.
I have 3D accelerator Vooodo 3 16 ram
above Directx 7.0a
My soundcard . creative live
I have 128 Megs of ram.

I downloaded ePSXe 1.4.0. I am using Pete's Software gpu. I am also using Pete's MIDAS SPU 1.7 for sound. My bios is scph1001. The bios seems to run fine, but I don't have a PSX game to test (yet). What configuration would work with my system?

what configuration need for final fantasy IX

I posted a new thread, because nobody here seemed to be using a Software gpu. Any help would be much appreciated.

Those arrow refer to special options.. The first points to iori's spu as it is currently the best spu for FF9 at the moment.. Or the internal spu.. Which ever sounds better to you..

The next two has "?" next to them.. These are for special graphic effects.. I have them set up for maximum effects.. It could slow down your system so set them to something like:

"write"
"basic"

This will make the games run faster but will show less graphic effects..

The last arrow is a must for FF9, FF8, and FF7.... Trust me.. It will allow you to see the battle menus.. without it, you will be playing without seeing battle options..
