im a little behind...a few weeks ago i found out about emulators...i got all excited got a nes emu and put my xbox to rest, started playing punch-out and contra instead :) then i moved on to a genesis emu and played that for awile. now i got a playstation emu and went looking for my stack of games. well most of the boxes were empty :cuss2: , i cant remember why, it was years ago that my ps stopped working. Now ive been scouring the web looking for ff8 iso's and after a week and a half of searching rom sites and file-sharing systems im beginning to lose hope...can somebody plz hook me up? ive bought this game twice (broke a disc in the 1st one putting my boot through the ps casing :emb: ) and i would rather not buy it again if it can be sent via the web.....................thanks George

thanks for nothing buddy......."we dont support piracy".......do you think if i go buy the game, squaresoft or anybody else involved in the pruduction of the game will see a dime? the only copies available are from other people or second hand stores. if anything they should put the iso on the official site, and just be happy ppl still want to play it, and perhaps buils up a stronger fan base for future games. . .piracy...pah! its been what? 6-7 yrs? did atari complain when i down-loaded donkey kong?

1. the old games are their property. I'm sure you would not like people to go into your house and steal stuff from you.
2. Companies are still making money with games far older then FF8 (Capcom Classics Collection, Namco 50th Anniversary Arcade Collection, Taito Legends, and I'm sure there are more). Wasn't there a GBA rerelease of FF1 and 2 anyway?
3. I'm pretty sure that people STILL buy and play FF8 or even FF7. Or even the older anthologies with FF4-5-6 in them. There's nothing special about that.
4. Rules here say no piracy. End of discussion.

sigh.........ok #1 if i made a million copies of something "in my house" and sold it to a million people, then someone made a copy of one of them and gave it to someone else....it wouldnt effect me, glad to see its still appreciated #2 the re-realeased versions of games normally include new material, thats worth paying for, the ones that dont...arent #3 im not really sure where you going with this one....some people still buy these games....and some people buy crack, it doesnt mean that the original creators make any money off it (that goes for both games and crack) #4 rules are meant to be broken . . . and "End of Discussion"<---who are you? My mother? in conclusion it appears im not gonna find what im looking for here anyway, so run off and find an admin to close and delete this thread b4 you start crying

No they won't delete it just lock it and make an example outa you. Stealing is stealing now matter how insignificant. If lots of people did the same thing then that "well one more won't hurt atttitude, really will. We like having quality games here, the few that still come out. So lets not drive down the gaming community ok?

George, you can debate about this for hours but it will all come down to this:

Piracy is not supported at this forum, this is the main reason why it still exists after so many years. If we would provide you with ISOs of games it would give Sony/M$/Nintendo a reason to shut us down.

If you do not understand this, please go look further on the internet for another forum which does support piracy.

ok cid...this will be my final post on this site, but we both know there are no site that support sharing iso's. i was hoping that at least 1 person would take it out of the forum and e-mail me. but as that is not forth coming i will step aside and let you tend to the flock

k, looky here, look @ my shiny stars mean I'm an admin, and guess what, I'm gonna tell ya what others said, we don't support piracy, we never did, and never will, now, either you stop asking for illegal files, and continue being a nice member, or, you keep asking, and your trip here will be shortened by me, friendly warning, of course ;)

Oh, BTW, thread closed.
