Basically, there are some games that don't work well on pSX, but do on EPSXE. I recommend that you keep EPSXE around, but having pSX Emulator as your primary emulator is not an all bad idea.

As long as you don't mind the non-enhanced graphics, feel free to use pSX as your primary PSX emulator. Its MY primary one. ;)

pSX DOES play some games in a better way than EPSXE (and the real console) by removing some slowdowns and framerate issues that DO happen on the real console. Its not accurate, but in this case, its a good thing.

:p

The last usable version of Zsnes for me is 1.36. After this one, EVERY OTHER VERSION gave me headaches. Heck, in the most recent version, even Super Mario World works bad for me (something wrong with the timing).

psxauthor has handed development of psxfin to jarrett,

as his first official decision, psxfin is now just a hello kitty emulator.
Uh?!? What?? WHOA!! Thats... weird...

...

So this means that there IS a Hello Kitty game for Playstation?!?

Zsnes has broken SPC700/Nintendo S-SMP emulation, so many games have broken audio. I would suggest Snes9x.....uh... a PM would work best for me to continue; I don't want to derail the thread. I can explain it there if you'd like me to :D:D

psx 1.13 is the last know version since 2009...version 1.14 would be very cool, especially if it even comes close to emulating a ps2 game. psx 1.13 runs awesome on my x64 system; where the epsxe fails due to slow frame-rates. psx 1.13 does include a ps2 bios plug-in...though i'm not sure why. with enough tweaks the pcsx2 emulator runs nearly every ps2 iso out there, along with a great deal of ps2 discs. i'm not a hundred percent sure we even have the full processing power of the ps2...sad really given the latest quad-cores and graphic cards...i'd love to see a beta version of psx 1.14 run on either the ps3, or ps4 as an emulator though...the graphics, game-play and frame-rates would be crazy-good!! imagine say parasite eve from ps1 running full 1080p 30fps and 120Hz refresh rates in full 3D...or even up-scaled to 4k at 240Hz refresh rates!!
