Yep, i have done it. My laser dosen't work. To check out, i couldn't help myself and had to open it up. The laser still functions, moves around, ajdusts up and down, but you can't see the laser it self. Sometimes there's a little ray of it but for just split second not enough to read the disc. Is there anything what can be done appart from getting a new PS2/laser?

Too late for any help now. Dosen't work what so ever. The laser PCB is ripped in one place and the entire laser dosen't reac now. BTW, if the laser isn't deteced by the console, does it go weird and show the bios? I left it connected inside but when i switch it and nothing appears. Also, the disc tray isn't responding. This is because there's not working laser or some other fault?
