Well my PS2 died on me yesterday, so i´m thinking about buying a new one, but is it worth it? Well it is in fact really cheap but perhaps i should save some money for the PS3? (damn it why wont they release FF XIII for the PC )

buy PS3 IMO, unless you really still enjoy PS2 games ALOT. because people who used to own PS2 buy a PS3 in the end, just better sooner than late IMO.

Well, since your PS2 is dead, unless you have PC able to emulate it, I'd get it. I'm not sure how dependable PS3's compatibility is/will be.

Try to get the PS3 60GB version if you found one..or get the 80gb version.

I wouldn't hold my breath or waste my money buying a PS3 to play PS2 games, nor depend on the PS2 emulator on the PC. I'd buy a PS2.

Lol believe it or not but i actually bought it after all, and the price had droppen to like 60 bucks? (USD) so it wasen´t that bad after all

$60 was for a PS2 isn't exactly a steal if you're thinking that. It's just standard price for a PS2 nowadays.

Why wouldn't it? Games are still coming out now and then for the system, and besides, it's not like I have even finished all of the games I want to play on the PS2. (yeah, I'm staring at Persona 4)

I still have one lol. But its there's something wrong with its GPU (I think). It displays black vertical lines in-game. You can still see and play on it though....not that I do, ePSXe ftw!
