PS1 emu for psp?

I know it exists and all, but i wasnt sure the name of which is good, i searched google and got a few different. Any help? And how well it can play ff9 maybe?

Ill be surprised if masta.g dosnt reply, he's helpful with the psp :lol:

It's Sony's emulator and it's already embedded in the firmware.
When you get a PS1 game from PSN it is ran using that emulator.

If you want to convert your games you need an app like PSX2PSP and a custom firmware on your PSP.
You may want to install popsloader, since most games work better using older versions of the emulator.

Shendo and Zieg beat me to it and I really don't have anything to add.

There was an actual PS1 homebrew emulator released but it became obsolete when Sony released a new firmware with PS1 backwards compatibility built in.
