Ok here's the lowdown i can use FPSE fine but whenever i click on configure (to configure a psemu compatable plugin) Fpsecfg.exe crashes, but wait i can still use it and save mu configurations as long as i dont click "Close" on the popup... what is causing it??? Also MDEC's arent playing on FF9 US [NTSC] but sometimes only one inch of the left side of the screen plays... does MDEC's play on FF9? any reply is greatly appreciated...

maybe you have a plugin that doesn't like your system... try removing all the psemu plugins and then add them one at time, you'll discover the ill behaving plugin, sometimes that happens on CD plugin on as system with out a full ASPI layer..

I'm not sure about the MDECs... maybe is the emu doing the wrong thing^^

he's not the only one out there that ff9 mdecs does not work for. i was surprised and curious and tried starting a game in ff7. the mdecs came out but at 7fps.

care to post some tweaks we can try to get ff9 ntsc us to work? tried the remove plugins and add them one by one thingie but to no avail. am using peteogl, null2mixer and petecdr. that's all i have in my plugin/psemu folder.

Well here's the thing...

Well here's the thing i can use any plugin... i mean with ePSXe i can use any plugin that exists without problems... well im boared im going to try to use the old Fpsecfg.exe from 0.8 and see if i still get the crash... also i installed FPSE again without ANY plugins at all and no crashes but when i added any plugin It crashed... then everytime after that, with or without any plugins in it still crashed... oh well you cant win e'm all..

:dead: Im not nearly close to bashing FPSe but im getting closer...:dead:

Do you have the ASPI layer set?
Are you sure that you follow the faq?
Have you ever read that document?
Do NOT use the 0.08 configurator, won't work at all
just edit the fpse.ini by hand if you want to try...
BTW you can just avoid clicking the warning message and finish to set plugins and press update and exit button so you can try to use fpse...

Try removing from the "plugin\psemu" directory the following files (if present):
- audiow32.dll
- gpupec.dll
- spuseal.dll
They are the ones who cause the fpsecfg crash.
